:: INTAKE STUDIO MARKS ANNIVERSARY BY EXPANDING ::

Wichita Production Company Celebrates Five Years in Business and Opens a Second Location

WICHITA, KS (August 7, 2009) - Intake Studio, an eight-person design-driven video production and motion graphics boutique, is celebrating its five-year anniversary by opening a satellite office in the Kansas City suburb of Lenexa, Kansas. Emilee Clark, Marketing Associate says, “A passion for producing quality work coupled with client loyalty has made the expansion possible, despite economic uncertainties.” Since its inception in 2004, strong performance and consistent growth has resulted in the doubling of its Wichita office space, steady workforce hiring, and now the addition of a new location. “Just five years ago, we were three broadcast and advertising veterans who had a revelation of how to produce quality video products and treat clients – so we did something about it,” said Intake Studio President Troy Lott. “We’ve worked hard and made good decisions when it came to hiring the best employees. That's what it takes to produce great work. Particularly in these challenging times, clients want to be treated well, they want great, cutting-edge work, and they want the most bang for their buck. We’ve found a way to give them that.”
     The company is hosting a party at their Old Town location with clients and friends on Friday, August 14th to celebrate its’ successful years in Wichita. Lott went on to say, “It has truly been a great five years. Wichita is a wonderful place to run a business and make friends. We pride ourselves on giving complete and personalized attention to our customers’ needs, and that’s the main reason we found it necessary to add the Kansas City office. They can always count on us, no matter how the business grows. At this point, we believe this is a great move to help us meet and exceed our customers’ expectations locally, regionally, and nationally.”
     Intake Studio, owned by Todd Schwartz, Heath Balderston and Troy Lott and headquartered in Wichita, Kansas, is a full-service producer of commercials, marketing videos, web elements and animation. Intake's clients consist of advertising agencies, design firms and corporations of every size.

:: IN THE COMMUNITY ::

There's nothing more satisfying than being involved with great charity events and this year's River City Roll presented by Wichita's Cerebral Palsy Research Foundation, was no exception.  The event features themed cocktails and dinner, live and silent art auctions, along with special performances and entertainment. The proceeds benefit the foundation's equipment fund, which provides personalized equipment to those in need.

We lent a hand in the website videos as well as the one that will be shown at the event this evening. It's an excellent opportunity for anyone to positively affect the lives of people with disabilities in our community and we're happy to help them out any way we can.

:: IN THE COMMUNITY ::

Youthville is Kansas' largest, non-profit child welfare agency specializing in foster care, adoption and counseling.

We couldn't be more passionate about their mission to help kids suffering from abuse, neglect, abandonment and trauma. That's why we've teamed up with them to produce a commercial geared towards increasing awareness of children that need short-term homes. With a goal of educating the Hispanic community about becoming temporary providers for foster children, the hope is that more kids are cared for until they can return home or find forever families.

Keep an eye on our YouTube channel for new spots, including this one.

:: WORLD PREMIERE ::

We've just completed production on a music video for the Colorado-based powerhouse trio, SKYFOX. The video is for the song "Run Away" which will be released on their forthcoming EP entitled THE TWILIGHT EP.

The piece was shot on location in a residential neighborhood outside of Denver and brought back to Wichita to post. Through narrative scenes and heavily composited live-action performance shots, the video tells the story of one man's life and trials and his rediscovery of the importance of relationships. The performance shots take the band on a symbolic journey through the life of the main character as the quiet suburban background is taken over by the skyline of a large city.

The video for “Run Away” was conceptualized and directed by Heath and brought to life through the talents of Vincent and Chad. Jaret Reddick, lead singer and guitarist of Bowling For Soup and co-founder of Crappy Records said, "I never imagined the end product would be so amazing. With limited resources and budget constraints on both time and money, Heath and his team took the video and the song to a place we never thought possible." Enjoy!
